...And you may ask yourself
- What is that beautiful house? And you may ask yourself - Where does that highway go? And you may ask yourself - Am I right? ...am I wrong? And you may tell yourself - My God!...what have I done? (Talking Heads, 1980)

Nine years ago Mark and I set off on a journey. It was a journey that would embed the children of China into our hearts forever and teach us that God's plan is WAY better than our plan. It has been a journey into faith, obedience and abundant blessings. Over the past nine years we have seen God's hand at work in our lives as we traveled through the wilderness in search of His plan for our lives upon this earth. In April of this year God revealed the next chapter of the Lucas story. Join us as we embark once again on another leg in this Marvelous expedition.

Jingle Bells

Q - How do you know when your son has turned a corner?

A - He wakes up at 5am in his own bed singing jingle bells!

Mikey came home yesterday.  When he realized that we were going home he was so excited.  The nurse was trying to give me all the discharge papers and instructions and all I could hear was Mikey saying "C'mon mom - Mikey go home!"

Mark had gone ahead of us to set up camp in the family room for him.  We moved a hideabed into the family room for him so he can be more comfortable until he can start being a little more mobile.  He has everything he needs right there in reach.  The girls think it is pretty cool too and have been enjoying having their brother home again.  His pain and discomfort was so much better yesterday and today.   He really didn't complain too much yesterday about pain.  He got home and wanted to start playing just like usual.  The doctors warned us that he will probably want to do more than we would think and we probably would need to hold him back.  Now I see what they mean.
Camp Mikey

Our wonderful friends the Pesnell's came by to visit and brought him the complete Ultraman collection on DVD!  He is so stoked and now we have the pleasure of getting to watch every episode ever made! (insert sarcasm here)

Today is mother's day and I am so thankful to be home again with entire family.  Life is good.
